How We Rate European Online Casinos

Every rating on this site comes from the same process, and the weightings below are fixed before we look at a single operator. If a figure cannot be traced to a source we can name, it does not appear.

What the score is built from

Bonus value, 35%: Not the headline percentage. The maximum bonus divided by its wagering requirement, which gives the turnover needed to release it. A modest offer at a low multiplier scores above a large offer at a high one, every time.
Terms transparency, 25%: Whether the multiplier, game weighting, bonus validity and maximum bet are published where a reader can find them before depositing, rather than four screens into the terms. Operators that publish no multiplier at all lose the most here.
Payments, 20%: Which rails the cashier actually supports in both directions, whether the deposit method can receive a withdrawal, minimum amounts, and whether the currency you hold is offered natively.
Licensing and accountability, 15%: Which regulator, whether the licence resolves on that regulator's own register, whether the company named on the licence matches the company in the terms, and whether an external complaints route exists.
Games and platform, 5%: Library breadth, live dealer provision, and whether the mobile browser build completes a deposit and a withdrawal without a desktop step.

How we source a bonus figure

In order of preference: the operator's own bonus material or terms panel; an operator-supplied sheet held on file; a verified operator communication. Nothing comes from general knowledge, and nothing comes from another affiliate's table. An identical figure appearing across several unrelated brands is a competitor template rather than operator data, and we discard it.

Where a required input is missing, the cell stays empty. Two offers in our current European lineup publish no wagering multiplier in any source we hold, so no turnover is calculated for them. An estimate in a table is indistinguishable from a verified number, which is why we do not put one there.

How we calculate clearing cost

Turnover equals the maximum bonus multiplied by the wagering requirement. We publish both inputs alongside the result so you can check the arithmetic rather than take our word for it. Where a requirement applies to deposit plus bonus rather than bonus alone, we say so, because it roughly doubles the figure.

Independence

We earn commission when a reader opens an account through a link here. That relationship pays for the work and it does not buy a position. Ranking order is set from the criteria above before any commercial term is discussed, and no operator has ever been shown a draft before publication or given the opportunity to change a score.

We do not accept payment for a specific rank, we do not remove criticism on request, and when an operator disputes a figure we ask for the source rather than adjust the page.

What we refuse to claim

That any operator is safe. We report what a licence covers and who supervises it. That is a different statement.
That a payout will arrive within a stated time. Verification status, not the operator's advertised speed, governs your first withdrawal.
That a bonus is free money. It is a rebate against expected losses with a turnover condition.
That a licence is a guarantee, or that being licensed somewhere means being licensed where you live.

Review cycle and corrections

Bonus terms change without notice, so every figure carries the month we verified it and the lineup is reviewed monthly. If a figure here no longer matches the operator's own page, the operator's page is the correct one. Tell us through the contact page and we will check it and correct the page.
